Pop star Leon Lai as a misunderstood hoodlum, beaten out of his house by his dad and hopelessly in love with the fiancee of a ganglord.  The mixing of comedy, fighting, social drama and romance makes an interesting generic hybrid that is unmistakably Hong Kong in feeling.  The running gag that I found very amusing involved the lover and the fiancee tirelessly exchanging messages through a paging service, so that the girls who work at the service become emotionally involved in their romantic frustrations (the part where several of them are huddled and crying and clutching their headsets while the old nag supervisor passes by angrily is terrific).
