Tasteful adaptation of Oscar Wilde could have stood a little less taste to make it more interesting.  For me the most intriguing moment was at the very beginning when a naked lady rushes out of Rupert Everett's bed. There is nothing of what follows to match this bold gesture -- the rest seems to follow the play's preoccupations with marriage and honor at the sake of restraining its sense of fun.  Handsomely acted by a dream cast (Julianne Moore and Cate Blanchett are two of my favorities at the moment) and though they're wonderful to watch there's not much to really dig one's teeth into.
