My friend Will works for SonicNet, a music news website owned by MTV.  MTV also owns CineMachine, an online search engine of movie reviews,

Z95, a teenybopper radio station.  Sure enough, the people who pushed this thing were mere adolescent geeks, of the worst kind, who couldn't get the names of the other sponsors straight.

Movie was a blast.  Very entertaining.

Special effects worked on a number of levels, alternating between cheesy effects derived from the campiness of the original show and the incredibly realistic detail of the alien world.

Cast is likable, Tony Shaloub is a lot of fun, but both the character he plays, as well as the character his character's plays has a Chinese surname.

the guy who plays the nameless character who is supposed to get killed is terrific.

This film knows the object of its parody (namely, Star Trek) inside and out.
